Gathering the Essence
The journey starts with selecting the finest natural wool and leather — materials chosen for purity, strength, and soul.
Preparing the Threads
Through washing, combing, and spinning, the fibers awaken. Each thread is shaped by skilled hands that carry generations of wisdom.
Spinning the Yarn
After the wool is cleaned and carded, it begins its transformation into thread. Through skilled hands and traditional tools, soft fibers are carefully spun into strong, durable yarn — the first step toward creation.
Natural Dyeing
The yarn is then immersed in colors drawn from nature — saffron, indigo, and pomegranate. Each shade is prepared with care, giving the rug its rich tones and a depth that reflects the Moroccan land.
Where the Foundation Begins
The process begins on the ground, where threads are stretched between wooden stakes with precision and care. This stage defines the structure, balance, and strength of the rug — laying the invisible foundation of everything that follows.
Preparing the Loom
Threads are carefully arranged on the loom, forming the foundation of the rug. Every line is set with precision, preparing the structure that will hold the entire story together.
The Weaving Process
This is where the true story begins. Artisans move their hands with rhythm and precision, knot by knot, following patterns carried in memory since childhood. Every knot holds meaning. Every row adds soul.
Trimming & Finishing
Once the weaving is complete, the rug is carefully trimmed and refined. Each detail is adjusted to achieve balance, softness, and a clean final form.
Washing & Drying
The rug is washed to reveal its full beauty and natural colors. Then it is left to dry under the sun, gaining warmth, brightness, and life.
